Porsche today announced that the new 911 Targa 4 and 911 Targa 4S will go on sale in November, 2006. For the first time, the Targa models will be available exclusively with permanent all-wheel drive and a rear body profile that is 44 millimeters (1.73 in.) wider than the standard 911 Carrera®. 

Opel expects its innovative new Corsa’s career to be as spectacular as its first appearance in Old Billingsgate, near Tower Bridge on the banks of the Thames. The eagerly anticipated fourth-generation Corsa makes its world debut in London at the British International Motor Show (July 20 – 30). Over 9.4 million units of the popular Opel’s predecessor models have been sold in Europe since 1982. The new edition will be available at dealerships in October 2006 and is expected to again reach the top of its segment. Beyond that Coupé for the first time also the intelligent all-wheel drive xDrive is available for the BMW 3er.

New edition of the successful premium SAV (Sports Activity Vehicle) with modified exterior design symbolizes the increase in agility and dynamics with the new, still more efficient and at the same time more efficient propulsions; new headlight and tail lamp optics as well as large in car color painted bumper units underline the salient, dynamic appearance and the premium-character; high-quality ambience in the interior; extensive reorganization of instrument panel, steering wheel, center console, seats, door linings, filler panels and roof skies; various selection of colors, padding and decoration elements makes a high measurement possible of individualizing.

Special highlight: Intelligent permanent BMW xDrive all-wheel drive with variable and per-active moment distribution between front axle and rear axle, normally 40: 60 and for optimum driving stability, driving dynamics and traction variable between 50: 50 and 0: 100. In special situations can be led briefly even up to 100 per cent of the engine moment to the front axle. A transverse barrier function is realized with xDrive by selective brake interference at the wheel revving up in each case.

The 2007 Porsche Boxster and Boxster S mid-engined sports cars will be given more power and torque via new engines featuring Porsche VarioCam Plus. For the 2007 model year, the capabilities of the drop-top roadsters are also extended with an updated version of the optional Tiptronic® S automatic transmission and additional functions of the optional Sport Chrono Package. 

Porsche today announced a new model for the Cayenne lineup designed specifically for the U.S. and Canadian markets. The V-8 powered Cayenne S Titanium Edition will be available beginning in mid-July. This sharp new addition to the Porsche Cayenne lineup of sporting SUVs features titanium-colored trim, exclusive exterior and interior finishes, and the Cayenne’s most popular options as standard equipment. The Cayenne S Titanium Edition will provide this additional content at a price point approximately 10 percent lower than a comparably equipped Cayenne S. 

North America is set to receive its first production version of the Porsche 911 GT3 RS. Beyond its unique livery, the GT3 RS is distinguished from the GT3 on which it’s based by broader rear flanks and reduced weight, further distilling the driving experience to that of a racing car, but one which meets all the requirements for street-legal sports cars. This purist’s variant of the 911 GT3—a model particularly well-suited for track outings—will arrive in time for spring 2007.
